Artwork
Soft shapes and patterns that sit behind your text and products.
Text colours
Headings, prices and body text, each colour on its own.
Shapes and lines
Boxes, bars and gradients the PDF draws.
Buy buttons
Add Buy now, WhatsApp or Follow us buttons on your products.
What stays the same
Your PDF isn’t turned into a picture. Its text stays real text, sharp at any zoom and still searchable, its links keep working, and the file stays about the same size.
A colour change applies to every page that uses it, so a 40-page catalog changes in one go. Text and shapes in the same colour change separately.
Black to white, and other quick changes
Black background to white
Switch off the background, keep the page white, and change any white text to a dark colour.
Your brand colour
Use your brand’s colour for the background or the headings.
Easier to print
Swap a dark background for white to save ink.
When the colours can’t change
A scanned PDF, or a page saved as one picture, has no colours to change: it is a photo. You can still put photos, text and buttons on top of it. A locked, password-protected PDF can’t be changed either; save it again without a password first.
Questions
How do I change the background color of a PDF?
Upload the PDF, open Your PDF in the page settings, switch off Show the PDF’s own background and pick a new page colour. Then download the PDF or share it as a link.
Is it free?
Yes. Changing colours, downloading the PDF and sharing a link are free, with no account. Ads appear only on our own website pages, never in your PDF.
Can I change a PDF background from black to white?
Yes, when the black is drawn in the PDF. Switch off its background, keep the page white, and change white text to a dark colour so it stays readable. A scanned page is a photo, so its colours can’t be changed.
Can I change the text color in a PDF?
Yes. Every colour the PDF uses for text is listed under Text; pick a new one and it changes on every page.
Will my PDF still look sharp?
Yes. Colours are changed inside the PDF itself, so text and shapes stay sharp and the file stays about the same size.
Can I put a photo behind my PDF?
Yes. Switch off its background, then add your own photo or pick one from the background library.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It opens in your browser and stays on this device. Only if you share a link are the finished pages uploaded.
