What to put on a Black Friday flyer
Start with one hero product photo. Choose a clear shot of the item you are actually selling, with enough space around its edges to crop it. A plain background helps people see the shape, colour and details. Keep extra products for another flyer or a catalogue page.
Make the deal price large. Someone reading on a phone should see the item and its price before any small print. Use one currency consistently, and say whether a price is for one item or a set. Replace every sample price before sharing.
Include the regular price only if it is real. If you add a second price as editable text, check it against your own records. Delete it when a comparison would be misleading. A clear selling price works well on its own; a crossed-out number is optional.
Write the days the deal runs. Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026. Give an end date and, when needed, a closing time so customers know when to act. Avoid a countdown that will be out of date when someone opens a saved flyer.
Give one clear way to order. A WhatsApp number, phone number or shop link is enough when it leads somewhere useful. Tell readers whether to send the product name, code or a screenshot. Test the destination yourself before you send the flyer.
Add your shop name where it can be read easily. Use the name customers recognise, and replace all sample contact details. If collection is available, add your address and pickup hours as editable text. Keep the main order instruction close to the contact line.
Mention a stock limit only if it is true. A real quantity or an accurate availability note can help someone choose. Remove claims such as “last few” when you cannot confirm them. Leave enough room for any conditions that affect the advertised price.
When to send it
About two weeks before: share a teaser. Show a product or a small preview of the collection, and tell customers when the offers will appear. You can keep prices for the main flyer if the deals are still being finalised.
Monday 23 Nov: send the main flyer. Include the confirmed prices, sale dates and order details. For several offers, send a catalogue link with a short message that points readers to the most useful section.
Thursday night: send a reminder. Recheck availability first, then use the same recognisable design and a brief opening-time note. Keep the message useful for someone who has already seen the main flyer.
Saturday 28 Nov: Small Business Saturday in the US. If your shop takes part, explain how to buy from you locally or online. Use this message only when it fits your customers and your plans.
Monday 30 Nov: send a Cyber Monday last call. Change the heading, confirm which offers still apply and state the actual deadline. Remove sold-out products before sharing the link again.
Which format to use
Use an A4 flyer when you want a poster to print or a single offer to send as a PDF. Check the downloaded file at full size before printing. One strong photo and a large price usually need less explanation than a page crowded with offers.
Choose a square post for Instagram or WhatsApp status. Leave the important words away from the edges and preview it on your phone. Square artwork may need space around it when placed in a taller status frame.
Choose the Friday Issue catalogue when you have many deals. Its index helps people compare names and prices before turning to the larger photos. A price list suits customers who already know your range and want a practical deal sheet they can keep beside an order.
