Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

The short version

  • Your catalogs, spreadsheets, photos, videos and PDFs stay on your device. We only receive what you choose to publish with a share link.
  • There are no accounts and no tracking. We only keep anonymous counts (for example, how many catalogs were created today), with no cookies and nothing that identifies you.
  • Google shows ads on our pages and may use cookies to do so. Where the law requires it, you're asked first.

Your files and catalogs

CatalogLeaf runs in your web browser. When you import a spreadsheet, photos, a video file or a PDF, your browser reads it on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you publish a share link (see below).

Your catalogs and the files in them are saved in your browser's built-in storage (IndexedDB) on this device, in this browser. They don't sync to your other devices, and we can't see, recover or restore them for you.

Share links

If you choose to share a catalog, we upload what is needed to show it online: the catalog title, an image and a thumbnail of each page, the links on your pages, any video files you added, and the PDF if you allow downloads. Your spreadsheets and the editable catalog stay on your device.

Anyone with the link can view the shared catalog, and so can visitors of any website where you paste its embed code. To remove it, open Share in the app and choose Stop sharing: the link and any embeds stop working.

Deleting your data

You're in control of everything stored:

  • Delete a catalog in the app to remove it and its files.
  • Clear this site's data in your browser settings (usually under "Cookies and site data") to remove everything at once.

Either way it's permanent, so download a PDF first if you want to keep a copy. Private or incognito windows discard storage when you close them, and some browsers (such as Safari) may clear storage for sites you haven't used in a while.

Anonymous usage counts

To know whether the tool is useful, we count a few moments: a page visit, opening the app, creating a catalog (and whether it started from photos, a spreadsheet, a PDF or a template), downloading a PDF, creating or updating a share link, and opening a shared flipbook. Each count stores the day, the event, your country (from your connection), and a random-looking code made from your connection and browser that changes every day. We never store your IP address, we can't tell who you are, and we can't follow you from one day to the next. Nothing about your files or catalog content is sent. No cookies are used and nothing is saved on your device for this. Detailed counts are deleted after about 13 months; after that we keep only daily totals.

What we don't collect

We don't have accounts, we don't track you across sites, and we don't set cookies of our own. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Those logs never include your files or catalog content.

Advertising and cookies

The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Ads appear on our pages, never inside your catalog or the PDF you download.

Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ads. You can learn more and control this here:

Your consent

If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message before using cookies for ads. It comes from Google's certified consent tool, not from us. Depending on where you live, you may also see a message letting you opt out of personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of the page.

Embedded videos

If you add a YouTube or Vimeo video to a catalog, its player loads from that service when the page is shown, and the service may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Video files you add from your computer stay on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
