Handicraft catalogue design: let the maker speak
A good handicraft catalogue design sells the hands behind each piece, not only the piece. Here are seven page ideas from free templates like Indigo Hands to copy.
A handmade bowl and a factory bowl can look the same in a photo. What sells the handmade one is the story: who made it, how, and why no two are alike. A good handicraft catalogue design gives that story a place on the page.
Here are seven page ideas you can copy. Each one comes from a free CatalogLeaf template, shown as a finished page. The photos in them are sample photos. Yours take their place.

Put the hands on the cover
Indigo Hands is one of the newest designs. Its cover is not a product at all. It shows two hands pressing a wooden block onto cloth, printing blue flowers.
A photo of the work tells buyers "made by hand" before they read a word. Take a photo of your maker at work, in daylight. In the editor, open the cover page and click Change next to Background photo to use it.
Give the maker a page
Page two of Indigo Hands, "From a maker's table", is a short note next to one big photo. It says who makes the pieces and how each order is packed. A short line in bold sits beside it: "Made by hand. Chosen by you."
Write two or three true lines about your makers and where they work. Skip big claims. A plain, honest note is enough.
Show the pattern up close
Market Mosaic has a page called "Colour in the making". It is one close photo of a woven basket, with a short title under it.
Close photos show what a small product photo hides: the weave, the brush marks, the grain. Take one close photo of your best piece and give it a whole page.

Say "one of a kind"
Under some pieces, the templates add a short line like "Each piece is one of a kind." The order steps also ask buyers to confirm "natural variations".
This is not only nice words. It tells buyers that their piece may not match the photo exactly. That saves you a return and an awkward message. Put the line in the short note under each product.
Add made in, packing and care
Market Mosaic has a "Materials and makers" page with three notes in a row. The sample says made in India, by hand. It says bubble-wrapped, gift box on request. And it says wipe with a dry cloth.
Buyers who order from far away worry about breakage and care. Answer both on one page. Change the three notes to your own facts.
End with a full list and three steps
Near the back, Indigo Hands lists every piece with a small photo and its price. Then "Choose a handmade find" gives three numbered steps: choose your pieces, confirm the size and variations, ask about packing.
Many buyers flip to the end first. A full list there lets them check prices fast. The steps make ordering feel easy, even for a first order.

Make a one-page gift list for festivals
Before Diwali or Christmas, many buyers want gifts, not a full catalogue. The Gift price list fits your gift range on one page. Its sample line is "Free gift wrap on every order."
For one gift box, use a flyer like Diwali Hamper. It has one big photo and an orange price badge. See more flyer ideas in Diwali sale flyer.
