Holiday gift guide template: 8 free ready designs

A holiday gift guide is a short catalogue of gift picks, grouped by who they are for or by price. Open a free lookbook template, add your photos and prices, and send the PDF or link in late November.

A customer walks in and says, "I need a gift, but I do not know what." You help her pick. Online, no one helps her.

A holiday gift guide does that job. It is a short catalogue of your best gift ideas, with photos and prices. This post shows eight free holiday gift guide templates you can open and fill with your own photos.

What a gift guide is

A normal catalogue lists everything you sell. A gift guide lists only what makes a good present.

It is small. Eight to twelve pages is enough. It groups gifts in a way that helps the buyer, for example "for kids" or "under $20".

Customers can read it on a phone, forward it to family and choose without asking you ten questions.

Pick a style

All eight designs below are lookbooks. A lookbook uses big photos with a short caption and a price. That is the best shape for gifts, because people buy a present when they like how it looks.

The photos in the examples are sample photos. Yours take their place.

Three finished lookbook covers side by side: Playtime with a teddy bear in a blue jumper, Spa Day with a bath bomb on a towel, and Morning Table with a green teapot and a brass bowl

Playtime: gifts for children

Playtime is warm orange with a paper feel. Each toy gets a big photo, a name and a price.

It suits toy shops and baby shops. Parents and grandparents love a page they can scroll through and pick from.

Spa Day: gifts for her

Spa Day is calm mint with full-page photos. It suits bath salts, soaps, body butter and small beauty sets.

Beauty items are easy to give and easy to post. Add a "set of three" with one price to help people who want to buy fast.

Morning Table: gifts for the host

Morning Table is cool grey-blue with teal touches. It suits tea sets, cups, bowls and serving pieces.

These are the gifts people bring to a family dinner. Put the size or the number of pieces in the caption.

Three more lookbook covers: Quiet Rooms with a black pendant lamp, Jungle Room with basil leaves, and Made by Hand with a painted spinning top

Quiet Rooms: gifts for the home

Quiet Rooms is a calm linen lookbook with room photos. It suits lamps, cushions, frames and candles.

Show each piece in a real room. A buyer can then see where it will go.

Jungle Room: gifts for plant lovers

Jungle Room is deep forest green. It suits plants, pots and garden tools.

Write the pot size and the care level in the caption. A gift plant that dies is a bad gift.

Made by Hand: gifts with a maker's touch

Made by Hand is a warm linen lookbook with a page for each handmade piece. It suits craft shops, small makers and fair trade stalls.

Say who made it in one short line. People pay more for a gift with a story.

Two lookbook covers: Desk Season with a notebook page, and Night Walk with a dog asleep on a leather sofa

Desk Season: gifts for students and workers

Desk Season is deep ink blue with gold. It suits notebooks, pens, planners and desk sets.

Stationery is a safe gift for office teams and teachers.

Night Walk: gifts for pet owners

Night Walk is midnight navy with amber touches. It suits pet beds, leads, bowls and treats.

Add the size of the pet each item fits. "Small dog, up to 8 kg" helps the buyer.

How to plan your gift guide

Do not copy your whole shop. Pick your best gifts and group them.

  1. Cover: a short title such as "Gifts for everyone".
  2. Gifts under $15: four to six small gifts.
  3. Gifts under $40: the middle group.
  4. Treat gifts: one or two bigger pieces, with one full page each.
  5. Order page: your last order date, delivery note and contact details.

You can also group by person: "for her", "for him", "for kids". Use the groups your customers ask about.

Three finished gift guide pages: a full page of wooden building blocks with a $24 price, a page of four toys with codes and prices, and a page of four beauty gifts with prices

What to write for each gift

Keep it short. Name, one line and a price.

Name Short line Price
Wooden building blocks 24 pieces, safe paint, age 2+ $24
Mineral bath salts Two scents, in a glass jar $9
Tea set for two Teapot and two cups $32

Example prices are in US dollars, like the templates. Write your own price in your own money.

Add a "Gift wrap available" line if you offer it. Buyers like to know.
